The Phantom Voice
the phantom Voice
Music is something that almost everyone can relate to. Some people use it as an escape from reality and some use it as a form of stress relief. But in the end most people connect with others through music and is constantly bringing all different kinds of people together. there are so many reasons that different people listen to music. I for one listen to different music for all different reasons. People that know me really well, know that when I have earbuds in at school that I am either super anxious about probably something I really shouldn’t be worried about or I’m just having an off day. But as soon as I put music on I feel so much better. Music has helped me in so many ways to express how I am feeling to people when I don’t know how to use my own words. It has helped me to show people who I am. I have a very broad music taste from top hits you hear on the radio all the way to country music that a lot of people don’t really like or have even never heard of. I love hearing a song for the first time and knowing that it could mean something to me and something totally different to someone else. I love being with people that have a different music taste than I do because most of the time it just opens me up to more music that I never would have known before. Music is a huge part of my life and life would be very boring without it. I feel that music makes me feel less awkward because I feel like myself when I’m listening to music. I don’t have to be the really shy girl that really just wants to talk to everyone but gets nervous because she thinks if she talks to someone first they might think she’s awkward. I don’t have to compare myself to anyone else that’s prettier or smarter or skinnier than me because well music isn’t about me so to speak it’s about life and love and anything else you want it to be about. And that’s why I like it so much because it can mean something so different to me than it does to you or someone else you know. A lot of people say that music has made them who they are today and I definitely agree.
